Styles in montages

This post has alot to do with the music post, but its a little different.

While editing/making/watching montages, I find that I like seeing different styles, that way its not all the same crap, theres some variety for those that enjoy them as I do.

Music is a big part of the style IMO, it helps create a mood for the video. You can back up the mood you are trying to create with an editing style, which could include transitions(Abundance of fancy ones, or lack of for example), video effects(Highly laced with flashes, color effects and other such, or maybe just a simple blur and glow effect here or there).
